An opportunity has arisen for a substantial, long-life iron ore business. They have major magnetite operation based in the Pilbara region. The operation includes construction and operation of a large open pit mine and processing plant. Due to ongoing expansion they currently require a mine planning engineer to work on the site on a FIFO 8:6 roster from Perth.
As mine planning engineer you will be responsible for creating and implementing short term mine plans & designs that provide a safe working environment, ensure continuous iron ore supply, and effective and efficient waste movement. You will ensure mine designs & plans are agreed to geotechnical, economic and operational parameters and liaise with other departments and contractors to ensure targets and goals are achieved.
The successful candidate will have mine design/planning and Scheduling experience and a sound knowledge of equipment operations, technical design and optimisation, geology, modeling and grade control. You will have a degree qualification and proven experience in an open pit mining engineering role. A WA Quarry managers Certificate is advantageous though not essential.

About the Job:
They require a Fixed Plant Maintenance Electrician who has a minimum of 4+ years working on mine sites within a fixed plant maintenance team. This is a 2 to 3 month contract position with the possibility of going permanent, however all candidates must to be immediately available. The FIFO roster is a 2:1 from Perth, so only Perth based applicants will be considered. Your duties will including fault finding on basic and complex circuits, preventative maintenance on motors, reclaimers, stackers, conveyors, pumps and screens.
To be considered you will have;
