In a perfect world you would consider being fully site based in overseas location or you have the option to FIFO preferably out of Perth. (12 weeks on/ 4weeks off) or ( 8 weeks on / 4 weeks).

Working & reporting directly to the General Manager of operations based on site. The Ideal mining professional will have abundant leadership and geological / mine planning experience with production planning, future mine development and clear communication with production planning. With ongoing focus on safety, cost efficiencies and continuous production.
Key duties of this position:-
Achieve underground mine planning targets.
Maintain stockpile quality grades.
Provide technical geological advise to maximise high grade recoveries.
manage grade estimates and mineable blast blocks within geological guidelines.
Production planning, data integrity.
Maintain QADC rating.
Monthly grade reconciliations
Technical team leadership, coach, mentor. Confirm technical team is compliant to work standards and accountabile.
Manage, control annual budget and focus on cost saving opportunities.
Business development skills are needed to help maintain and build business relationships with key stakeholders with regards to current and future business plans.
Focus on managing the health, safety and environment of your team members.

To support their open pit mining operations, they are currently seeking a Geology Superintendent to oversee the mine geology team and ensure production is maintained. You will be have experience at either Superintendent or Chief Mine Geologist level, and be comfortable in leading teams while also mentoring direct reports.
Reporting to the Geology Manager your duties will include:
End of month reconciliations
Overseeing QAQC and Grade Control
Managing in pit mapping
Work closely with the Mine Engineering Dept
Provide training and mentoring for geologist and pit techs
Requirements for this position:
Minimum 10Yrs Mine Geology Experience
Extensive career in an open pit environment
Demonstrated experience in leadership roles
High level of computer literacy
Excellent communication skills

The Opportunity:
The site is currently operating two underground mines. There are a number of Geotechnical projects in which you will be involved.
The flag-ship underground mine, is increasing in depth and will provide some interesting geotechnical challenges. The primary focus for this position is to ensure the technical and professional application of geotechnical principles to the planning and operation of our underground mines.
Provide and support the geotechnical studies on site.
Including data collection, mine excavation and groundsupport design, structural mapping, rock mass characterisation, stability analysis, microseismic,monitoring and numerical modelling.
Participate in research and development.
Ensure the continuous improvement of geotechnical aspects on site.
Leadership role with training and mentoring within the Mining teams.
Ongoing role requirements:
Provide geotechnical engineering support to minimise geotechnical risk and improve operational and financial effectiveness.You will provide expertise in the geotechnical space, mentor and develop site geotechnical engineers, provide input for tenders and show high levels of geotechnical leadership within the mining business.
Skills needed for the role:
• A relevant tertiary degree, i.e. Bachelor/Masters of Science/Engineering(Geotechnical,Geomechanics, Geological Engineering or equivalent).
• At least five years experience in underground mining, particularly in the area of rock mechanics.
• Proven communication, leadership and organisational capabilities.
