Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role will be responsible for but not be limited to the following: Calculating the effect of the Fuel tax credit using reports and reconciliations from the business; Reviewing reports with the Tax Manager and agreeing on evidence that is appropriate to make timely claims of tax credit; Calculating the impact of the Carbon tax on the fuel rebate; Following up with external parties to ensure all reports are captured appropriately and in a timely manner; Documenting the reconciliation and calculation processes including the contacts for information across all projects; Attending to Ad-hoc projects as they arise.

Job Description
As a Specialist Materials Engineer your success will be measured on your ability to develop and implement improved maintenance, reliability and asset management initiatives across a significant portfolio of fixed plant assets, specifically equipment that have high levels of wear. Your ultimate objective is to enhance the availability and reliability, and statutory compliance of the assets through the adoption of innovative techniques, technologies and best practices in asset management, and through effective stakeholder engagement and change management. Also due to the significant volume of capital investment across this fixed asset portfolio, you will also be actively involved in creating asset management and maintenance strategies thus ensuring the integrity and operational readiness for new projects.
The Successful Applicant
To be considered for this role it is crucial that you meet the following criteria; You will possess a tertiary qualification in within a materials engineering or mechanical engineering discipline. You will have a minimum of 6 years experience within a operational maintenance, and or reliability engineering role within a mining operation, ideally with previous experience and expertise in wear materials. As a senior member within the team you will be expected to be able display a sound knowledge and practical skill in the application of reliability engineering tools and concepts such as RCA, RCM, FMECA and condition monitoring practices. You will also be expected to have a thorough understanding of asset management tools and life cycle costing techniques. You will have a thorough knowledge and appreciation for various CMMS systems, preferably SAP. Additional experience in the use of lean principles such as Six Sigma will also very advantageous.
