Our client, one of the leading Engineering organisations in the World, has an immediate requirement for a Signalling Project Manager to join their Rail team in Melbourne. You will initially be working on the Regional Rail Link project but also involved other Signalling Renewal Projects. RESPONSIBILITIES: Plan and control the rail signalling of allocated projects to ensure completion in accordance with design requirements and time and cost constraints to achieve profit objectives. Ensure that system integration occurs between the subcontractor's works. Monitor and review work plans and programs relating to subcontractor works against contractual and financial targets and ensure identification and effective management of project risks. Develop and review rail signalling planning and monitor progress of all allocated projects to ensure they are on schedule and within quality and cost estimates. Liaise with the management to modify design in systems and methods necessitated by the progress of construction. Review project costs and take timely corrective action if significant project deviations from budget occur. Control project programming, cost control, quality control, purchasing & procurement, contract administration, general site administration and the activities of sub contractors. Manage testing of new or altered Rail Signalling, Control and Communications Equipment, Circuits and interlocking as per the agreed standards and practices of Rail Authorities. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: At least 3 years experinece in a Project Management role within a Rail Signalling environment. Excellent understanding of Rail Signalling technology, specifically interlocking systems. Ability to understand Signalling designs and onsite experience of Signalling installation work. Excellent Project Management skills are a prerequisite. Commercially astute with a strong revenue and profit focus. Strong People and Client relationship skills and experience.
