Assistant Manager SNOW  BUS DRIVER-GUIDES: WINTER JOB S for this winter plus future years if interested  ·          Keen skiers / Snowboarders preferred ·          For casual work during winter  - all of it during June 21 – September 9, 2012. ·          All jobs are long distance trips to the snow. ·          LR licence is okay for some trips, but MR strongly preferred as we often use 31 & 38 seaters ·          Drivers Authority required, we can help you get one if you don’t have it already. ·          Bus-Driver’s Snow-licence preferable but we can help you get one if need be. The next course is on May 24th 2012, but there is a June alternative (date TBA).  SOME DETAILS ·          Ski Kaos use several driver-guides for our snow trips. ·          We have many trips during the period June 21 – Sept 11 ·          We need to ensure we have enough drivers to cover our trips for this period. ·          Most jobs run Thursday night to 1am Monday (3 days on the snow), or Friday evening to 1am Monday(2 days on the snow) , w e also have some 6 day and a couple of shorted trips too.  WE NEED 2 PEOPLE ·          One person to work on a temporary full-time basis for much of June 21 – Sept 9. This means most 3-day weekends, some 2-day weekends, maybe some week-days here & there, plus a weekly trip or two. ·          A second person to casually work on 3 - 5 weekends per winter (mixed 2 and 3 day trips). ·          Important (but not crucial) than you are available for the training period: 8pm Thurs June 21- Midnight Sunday June 24 ·          We prefer someone that is interested in doing this in future years, ie: 2013, 2014 etc… as opposed to just winter 2012 ·          Lots of responsibility involved as you have passengers lives in your hands, as well as management of people’s costly holidays.  APPLICANT S ·          Ideally you will be a snow sports enthusiast, and should know your way around Thredbo and Jindabyne. ·          Preferably 25+ years for insurance purposes but we have hired a 23 year old in the past ·          You need people skills, social personality, you need to get on well with people, especially uni-students & 18-35’s. ·          Be highly organised – a lot of logistics & co-ordination is fundamental to the job. ·          Prefer someone who has their own car to get to/from the depot and our office  (Alexandria, Cremorne respectively). ·          You’d need to live in or near Sydney for it to be practical. ·          Basic PC skills desired, ideally you have a laptop and can use excel  PAY ·          Pay is on a per tour basis, but it works out at about $30 per actual hour of work, including a meal allowance. ·          You can also claim skiing expenses on tax and get cheap (tax deductible) lift passes if you are interested in hitting the slopes. ·          Pay rate is negotiable depending upon your experience and character.  APPLICANTS ·          PLEASE DO NOT CALL – SORRY, BUT WE ARE TOO BUSY ! ·          Please email to bruce@skikaos.com.au include your name, suburb, phone number and good ( afternoon/evening/night ) times to call. ·          Tell me about yourself very briefly focusing on what is noted above and be clear if you have LR MR HR and a valid Drivers Authority, and if you have a snow licence or not. ·          Very important to state if you are a keen skier / boarder (or not) and how familiar you are with Jindabyne and Thredbo (if at all). ·          We need people who can enthusiastically lead a tour and look after a host of operations & logistical matters, not just a bus driver.
