This project is under way and moving into the next phase which will continue over the next few years.
Due to project expansion, we are looking to hire a Project Engineer with HV Transmission (overhead and underground cables) experience to manage a number of projects currently in their infancy. As the successful Project Engineer, you will be in responsible for scoping the work, through to managing contractors, and ensuring the project is delivered to budget and on time.
Position responsibilities include;-
- Manage and coordinate individual projects and/or sub-programs, ensuring all work is achieved to specific standards with proper regard to risk, safety, security and legislative requirements and within allocated budgets
- Make sure that project design meets scope and cost requirement in Project Approvals, and procurement outcomes deliver value for money
- Direct end to end management of the projects to deliver the projects on budget and to schedule including overseeing the administration of external contractors
- Prepare a detailed programme schedule for each Project and ensure it includes accurate time and resource forecasts, and appropriate logic and dependencies, and is kept up to date on a regular basis
Position requirements:
- Tertiary qualification in engineering, project management or related discipline
- Advanced professional with significant proven experience in the successful project management and delivery of large or complex electrical engineering projects
- Experience in HV Electricity Transmission (underground and overhead cables)
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- Australian Permanent Resident or Citizen
