Leighton has been providing a complete mining service since 2004 and currently provides over 7,200 metres of development, 144,000 metres of longhole drilling, 650,000 tonnes of ore per annum as well as diamond drilling services. What skills and experience do you need?
With an appropriate tertiary qualification, you will have strong leadership skills and extensive practical knowledge and experience in mining. You will be able to deliver our vision of "One team, delivering the promise, today" by building and maintaining a strong, safe, can do culture within your team. Sound commercial management skills and a minimum of 15+ years experience in mining, with an emphasis on underground mining, is a requirement. Experience working as a Project Manager for an Australian contractor will be looked upon favourably. You will have a keen sense of what it means to be a service provider, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction, and naturally you'll be an excellent communicator with the capacity to build solid business relationships. You must be able to work with the client to maintain and promote our company values. This role would suit an experienced management professional, seeking a challenging and rewarding opportunity on a large scale underground operation.
