To succeed in this role your extensive experience in developing Risk Assessments, Risk Management and HSE Management Plans will be required, A Degree or Diploma in HSE along with HSSE experience with both design and site HSSE activities in the international Oil & Gas industry would be highly regarded. Hays Oil and Gas have partnered with this major Australian oil and gas exploration and production company. Their portfolio boasts some of the world’s largest and most recognized LNG projects. Due to growth and new projects they are looking for a professional Project Engineer within their Drilling Team. You will be responsible for overseeing the construction, start up and commissioning of their rigs to ensure they are delivered on time, to quality and cost specifications. There will be travel required to Calgary, where the sub-contractors are based. Responsibilities will include acting as the key focal point between contractors and EPCM, managing the project schedule. Providing weekly reports (email) and fortnightly updates (conference call/meeting) on the progress of the project at its various stages to the leadership team. You'll need to monitor the activities of the contractor during the build and commissioning phase to ensure all agreed objectives are met and ensure project control requirements, including change management are complied. An important part of the role will be preparing and auditing appropriate acceptance tests prior to rig acceptance. Ensuring field commissioning of the rigs is conducted according to plan agreed upon and interface with various both external and internal on the implementation of the rig. Ensure rig start up, commissioning and ongoing operations is conducted as pre agreed execution plan. Your revenue signoff of up to $30million You will need to have a background in drilling and completions. Drilling contractor background beneficial, not essential. Experience within the O&G industry. Ideally you will have come from a Project Engineer background. In return you‘ll be offered an excellent salary + the benefits of travelling abroad to Calgary. Initially a 6 month contract which may be extended. Immediate start ideal for the right candidate.
