PROJECT EXPLORATION GEOLOGIST
When you got the promotion to Project Exploration Geologist you thought that along with that title you would get more autonomy, more responsibility and more leadership opportunities. And this isn’t the case?
Well that’s possibly because the company you’re with is so big that there are heaps of people above you, leading to no room for movement. The responsibilities get shared around so much that there’s not much room for you to grow and expand your skills.
This situation wouldn’t happen at this gold and base metal exploration company. They are looking for a Project Exploration Geologist who is both willing to learn from the experienced Exploration Manager and wants you to do more than sit on a drill rig. This is a varied role which won't allow time for you to get bored.
Target generation
Data interpretation
Designing and implementing drill programmes
Geological surface mapping
Campaign site time - 70% Perth based.
$159K - $132K
To be considered for this role you will have over 3 years experience in exploration and a relevant Geology degree.
Suited? Click the "APPLY" button below and I will get back to you on a confidential basis.

Summary:
Industry:
Primary Industry & Agriculture
In your formative years as a mining engineer you know it is important to develop your skills in all areas of mining. Having experience in planning, production, drill and blast and even ventilation are central to building a foundation.
Taking a role at any mining house will guarantee that.
Taking a position however, with an international company that is one of the largest producers of gold in the world, will also make your CV stand out from the crowd.
Due to the size of the UG mine there is scope to dip you hands into extra areas:
D&B master designs and patterning
Special projects – drill and blast optimisation to reduce stopes bridging
Mentoring graduates as they come in
Responsibility of liaising with contractors
As a large mine, they can accommodate for your individual strengths. Their accelerator program works by ticking you off on skill sets as you finish them - instead of you having to stay in each area for a prerequisite time like everyone else.
This company therefore recognises your strength and rewards it by allowing you to move on rather than holding you back where you are already competent. Move into Senior roles quicker plus support here for First Class ticket.
Ideally you will have 2-4 years mining experience and a B. Engineering in Mining.
Sounds like you
