The Financial Accountant will work as part of a team reporting in to the Shared Services Manager of this multisite environment. Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting - Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and associated schedules for the business Taxation - Preparation of appropriate tax effect accounting entries. Month End Accounting - Preparation of month end journals and general ledger reconciliations, includes liaising with departmental Management to ensure accurate results, monthly and annual forecasting. Managing Intercompany Accounts - Ensure intercompany transactions within the area of control have been brought to account and reconciled for settlement before each month end Internal Controllers Checklists - Assist with the Head Office Controllers Checklist, the Location Controllers' Checklist and attending the operational field audits if required. Fixed Assets - In conjunction with the Financial Accountant, assist in system administration function of Oracle Fixed Assets. Help in the preparation of all monthly, quarterly and yearly reporting on Fixed Assets including managing the monthly depreciation expense for both accounting and tax books. Other Ad-hoc Projects - allocated by the Financial Accounting Manager
