The CLC is seeking dedicated and energetic people interested in working with Aboriginal people to manage exploration and mining on their land. The position will involve consulting Aboriginal owners and promoting their interests in negotiations with mining companies to achieve sustainable and benefi cial outcomes through the management of exploration and mining agreements. The successful applicant will hold relevant tertiary qualifications in resource management, geology, geography, environmental science or related discipline, possess knowledge of the mining industry, have experience with administration of legislation and working with a work flow and data administration computer program. An understanding of Aboriginal society, strong cross cultural awareness, combined with good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with traditional Aboriginal people are also required. This position involves fi eld work and travel to and working within remote desert locations.
