Ideal candidates will hold:
* Certificate III or Diploma qualifications in Children's Services
* First Aid Certificate

Your role
You will be required to deliver quality education and care that meets the needs, interests and abilities of each child, whilst providing a safe and healthy environment. As our Teacher/Assessor, you will provide teaching and assessing services in language, literacy and numeracy to Mission Australia clients. You will be responsible for delivering Skills for Education & Employment (SEE) services, achieving contractual Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as well as financial targets. You will develop and maintain networks with referring agencies to maximize referrals and in addition, you will have the ability to effectively motivate, and educate job seekers from vastly different experiences and educational backgrounds, and also have the capacity to complete a number of administrative functions to assist outcomes for clients and the organisation.
You will have substantial teaching and assessment experience preferably related to adult literacy and numeracy, demonstrated empathy with client groups and ability to develop rapport and the ability to implement creative and structured programmes in a culturally sensitive manner. Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is a must.
As a Trainer, you will have extensive work and training experience to deliver a range of vocational qualifications relative to entry into the workforce. The ability to connect with learners who have been disengaged from or are returning to study is essential. An Adult Literacy and Numeracy qualification and the current Training and Assessment qualification, TAE40110 is essential.

About this role
Aspect has established an Early Childhood Development Program for the detection and screening of children 0 to 5 years old who may be “at risk” of autism or other similar developmental concerns in Sydney's Macarthur region and provides early intervention for these young children and their families.
You will be responsible for delivering this program that includes community education regarding the early indicators of ASD, screening of children who present with indicators of ASD, home and community based interventions for children identified as ‘at risk' of autism or similar developmental concerns and referrals for diagnosis and ongoing mainstream and specialist support services.
This position reports to the Manager, Aspect Building Blocks,
Key responsibilities
Develop and deliver community education and therapy programs to children with an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
Strengthen the capacity of families to support and promote the development of their young children with an ASD
Work collaboratively with others to optimize outcomes for young children with an ASD and their families
To be considered for this position you will have

Aspect provides autism specific early childhood intervention programs across Sydney's South and South West regions.
