Job DescriptionReporting to the Accounts Payable Team Leader, you will play an integral role within the Accounting and Finance team as an end-to-end Accounts Payable Officer and acting as the second-in-charge of the team. You will be responsible for:
- The full function Accounts Payable process
- Extensive reconciliations, checking invoices, documenting discrepancies, and resolving potential issues
- Determining which invoices should be paid and the ability to resolve and raise issues
- Regular communication with internal departments, external suppliers and counterparts
- Supervising Accounts Payable Staff when the Team Leader is away
- Monitoring reconciliations and invoice processing
- Monthly reporting, managing relationships with clients and additional project support work
The Successful ApplicantYou will ideally have had sufficient experience in a full function Senior Accounts Payable position within a high volume environment. Prior exposure to a large ERP system as well as proficiency with MS Excel will be highly regarded. Moreover, you will have the ability to work well both autonomously and within a team-based environment. You are a team player, have exceptional attention to detail, superior communication and organisational skills, and possess a strong desire to achieve. Previous supervisory experience will be considered favourably. Prior experience in the freight or logistics industry is a must at this stage in the process.
