Candidates can either come any type of company (end-user, System Integrator, Software House, Consultancy)as long as they have developed a deep knowledge in one area of IT. Ideally this will be in the BI/DW space ( e.g Business Objects, Oracle, Hyperion, SAS, Teradata, WherescapeRed, Informatica / Datastage, Brio, Microstrategy etc) although candidates from other backgrounds (Application Development using Java, J2EE, C++, .Net, Websphere, Weblogic etc) who have developed complex applications & have a strong grasp of systems & RDBMS principles (Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, Sybase etc) will also be considered - the discipline & ability to develop deep skills in a given area is more important than the actual area itself.
