The Air Warfare Destroyer (AWD) Program is the most challenging and innovative Defence Project in South Australia and also one of the largest Defence Projects nationally. Seventy percent of the blocks for Australia's three Air Warfare Destroyers will be constructed by two subcontractors and shipped to South Australia for ship consolidation. We have an opportunity for an Administration Officer based with our Melbourne Block Subcontractor to support the construction of the AWD blocks.
The Project Support Officer will provide secretarial and administrative support to the ASC Offsite office, located in Williamstown, Victoria. Reporting to the Block Manager you will be responsible for ensuring that ASC's corporate systems are maintained to reflect the current status of production activities being undertaken, provide administrative support relating to the preparation of commercial correspondence as well as coordinate travel arrangements for staff.
To be successful in this role, you will have previous experience with Information management including technical documentation control. You will have excellent communication and negotiation skills as well as strong organisational and customer service skills. Also essential to this role is an excellent working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of applications.
Eligibility for an Australian Defence Security Clearance will be taken into account in assessing an applicant's suitability for this role.

You will be required to project manage and carry out field based cadastral, feature and re-establishment surveys as well as preparation of plans, reports and associated checking.
