They currently require a project manager to provide support in the construction of various civil and building related projects. The projects will involve structural / buildings, roads, car parks, drainage and utilities. The role will oversee the main contractor who will be delivering the works, therefore on site construction experience is essential. The ideal candidate will have a civil engineering qualification or related building qualification with a minimum of 7 years experience and have specific knowledge and experience in civil building projects and the capability to oversee delivery (by separate team) of projects in a client representative role. You will have worked for a civil contractor or a design consultancy, but not in a pure design role. You must have knowledge of how a project gets constructed from an on site perspective. Ideally you will also have worked on the client side of a project. Every candidate must poses fantastic project management skills, taking projects from start to completion. Communication skills are required at the highest standard, as you will be dealing with senior people within various stakeholder organisations. You will be leader therefore portray excellent leadership skills. You will be the go-to person within these projects, decision maker and person for guidance.
