Ready Steady Go Kids, Australia's largest multi-sport and exercise program for preschoolers (aged 2.5-6 years) seeks an experienced Team Leader for the Cheltenham region (Cheltenham, Bentleigh East, Brighton). In conjunction with national headquarters, the Regional Team Leader, Cheltenham will be responsible for the hands on management of each of the locations in the region. Key deliverables include: - Conduct classes, lead by example, motivate and mentor team members working at each location - Build a first-class team of instructors; play a key role in the recruitment and training of staff for each location - Work with headquarters on the development of each fortnighly roster - Form positive relationships with parents at each centre - Assist with marketing efforts in the region - Pursue opportunities for regular incursions at ELC's and childcare centres within the region - Maintain solid communication with headquarters regarding class performance, attendance, staffing and customer feedback - Actively seek new locations (or better locations than existing) to conduct the Ready Steady Go Kids program Experience and attributes required include: - Leading a team of casual staff - Experience working with preschool aged children - Comfortable working in an autonomous environment - Physically fit and love sports. - Outgoing, energetic personality - Demonstrated professionalism and reliability - Passionate about the benefits of exercise and teaching young children - Coaching, childcare and first aid qualifications desirable. Must have working with children check to be considered This is a leadership role and only applicants with demonstrated experience should apply. To be successful you must have the following: A tertiary qualification in, Recreation, Community Development or a relevant Human Services discipline, with experience in the sports and recreation field.
