Based in a primarily Aboriginal community area, services include aged care, housing, rangers and arts.
The successful Chief Executive Officer will have had experience of working closely with Aboriginal cultures, and ideally have lived in remote communities. reporting directly to the Board, you will manage teams across three areas of the NT, including Finance, HR, Grant programs and a range of commercial activities in the service delivery areas.
In order to be considered for this role, you must have extensive experience of managing and developing teams, understanding and implementation of legislation and policies, strong governance and compliance along with a solid financial understanding and general management skills. It is imperative that you have proven cultural awareness and sensitivities.
A tertiary qualification is highly desirable and you must be a very strong communicator with a strong background in developing and maintaining stakeholder relationships. Due to the status of the organisation, exposure to working with not for profit organisations, boards of governors and with multiple funding streams.

The main function of Mungoorbada Aboriginal Corporation is to improve the lot of the aboriginal people living in Robinson River or on the Land Trust - 522,000 hectares. The Corporation provides municipal services, operates the CDEP work programme (everybody in Robinson works), provides administrative services to local people, develops enterprises - including Cattle Station, Civil Construction - that will employ people and create economic independence. The Corporation also operates a crèche and school nutrition programme and maintains all housing stock.
