I'm really impressed with LinkMe - it is practically a cross between Facebook and LinkedIn combining resources, jobs, friends and messages as well as a profile to optimise career development. I was contacted last week for a smacker of a training position with a national company. The recruiter had located my details on LinkMe and gave me a call to come in for an interview. My current contract ends at the end of this month so the call came at the perfect time! Very Happy = thanks LinkMe

My wife has been telling me about this Linkme website for nearly 3 months and finally I went online and created an account. I couldn't believe how quickly I was done. The next day there was an email from a recruitment agency in my area. She had a supply and distribution job for me. We spoke, then met, then met with the company and I start in less than 4 weeks! Yay!

We dreamt of living our big dream and making a career in Civil Engineering in Australia, after migrating from India 2 years ago. Lacking local experience we found it incredibly difficult to fulfil our dream and ended up working graveyard shifts in hospitality to make ends meet. Our luck changed when we joined LinkMe and very quickly we were both offered Civil Engineering roles with a construction company. We are really excited about our new roles and relocating to Queensland.

LinkMe represented a different approach to my job hunt which worked for me. I joined about 4 months ago when it was recommended to me by a recruiter. My resume came up in a search my new boss was running on LinkMe when he was looking for someone with procurement and purchase planning management experience. I'm looking forward to the challenges of this exciting role as well as great conditions. I was pleasantly surprised to know that someone liked what they read about me without me having to apply for a particular role. I have been working as an industrial designer for 8 years now and joined LinkMe 2 years ago, when I was looking around to see what opportunities were available. After revamping my resume and setting my status to active a few months ago, I was receiving a lot more attention and was made an offer I couldn't refuse! I'm really excited as the new role will allow me to use more of my design skills. My resume was found on LinkMe about 2 weeks after I joined when a friend referred me while I was searching for a job. I now work for a fantastic recruitment agency with great management and better pay. The funny thing is, I now use LinkMe to find people for the roles I am filling - it's actually really helpful whether you're looking for a job or searching for someone.

I'm a semi-retired contractor and joined LinkMe last year as I was curious to see what job offers would come my way at the salary range I had inputted. I was found by a recruiter using LinkMe and placed for a short-term role which suited my expectations. Networking on LinkMe works! I now check in on a regular basis, read the newsletter and check jobs - it's a great way to have my resume seen.

I joined LinkMe around December last year as I had been retrenched from my previous company and needed a job. Having put my resume up on a number of other sites I really didn't have any high expectations from LinkMe and was bowled over when I got head hunted for quite a few jobs. It took just over a month from joining to be placed in a role which I subsequently left as I was offered better pay and conditions from another employer who found me on the database. This is a great tool to keep yourself in the job market and find out about great opportunities.

I was a bit lazy about job hunting and didn't take it all too seriously at all. When a friend told me about LinkMe I figured 'what the heck - it can't hurt'. I only came across LinkMe when a colleague wanted me to set up an account so I could endorse him. Subsequently, after 12 months I received a call from an agency. I was not on the market for a new job, but I was totally interested in the position once I'd heard all the details. I joined LinkMe in 2007 more out of curiosity than a desire to move on from my present position in the finance industry. After a year of being a stay at home mum, LinkMe helped me get back into work and realise my worth in the market. I was invited to join LinkMe by one of my friends. She mentioned that it was part-owned my Sensis, which influenced my decision and I signed up about 2 years ago. It was only recently that I added my resume to "see what happened" as I was dipping my toes in the market. I realised that I needed to tweak my resume (with helpful suggestions from the LinkMe site) and I also changed my status to Active to come up in more searches and once I did, the results were most impressive. Interestingly, it was a recruiter who I had known in a previous life who found me on LinkMe and hadn't realised I was looking to move on from my current job. She happened to have a once in a lifetime role for me to look at. Following 2 interviews, I'll be starting my new job in a specialist financial service publishing house with a better remuneration structure, more scope and career development. I'm ecstatic - what a great start to 2008!

I first joined LinkMe about 6 months ago when a recruiter I had been dealing with sent an invitation. Initially, I hoped that my resume would be visible to a much larger audience then I would get from applying for jobs individually. My resume appeared 772 times in top ten searches and was viewed on 114 occasions so far. I have been contacted by quite a number of recruiters since joining with some resulting in interviews and one has become a new contract. I'm now Senior Business Analyst for a large aviation finance company - a better position all round with better pay.

I joined LinkMe on 12 October 2007 after receiving an email about the site and thought that I would give it a go. I understood that LinkMe worked as my personal PR agent and I would be approached by recruiters regarding jobs they thought I would be suitable for. It took about 5 weeks from joining and adding my resume before I was contacted by a recruiter aboout a contracting role with a property grou which was really handy as my previous contract was close to completion. This new role may become permanent after 3 months and I'm better paid for it.

LinkMe delivered far beyond what I had initially expected from the site. I joined way back as I was frustrated with conventional methods of finding a job. To start with, I didn't think LinkMe would work and it was just going to be some social networking site pumping out advertising and I was really surprised to have started receiving calls from businesses and recruiters on a weekly basis. The "how to" videos and being able to update my resume easily have also been of great help to me. I was found shortly after joining by a recruiter who placed my in a contract - it was the first contract I had taken and it was a better position with better pay in a more prestigious organisation. I am now treated with the respect and gratitude I work hard for. I still get calls from organisations and it's nice to keep my finger on the pulse.

As a traded qualified fitter machinist with over 15 years mechanical experience in mining and heavy earth moving equipment, I was very pleased when a multi national company came looking for me after I uploaded my resume and posted a blog on LinkMe. I recommend LinkMe to anyone looking for something a little out of the ordinary. My wife suggested I join in August 2006 as I wanted to get out of financial services and in to something fresh and new. My wife generally makes excellent suggestions so I did join. I didn't really have any expectations when I first joined as it was one of those things you just "put out there" to see what happens and I was contacted by a recruiter 10 weeks later. They were looking for a specific set of skills and the right person for a role with Jetstar. LinkMe was a very useful all in my job search. I joined last year after reading an article in SMH. The site is very informative with valuable career tips and it's interesting to be able to see how many times your resume has been viewed by employers and recruiters. I was found on LinkMe by a recruiter filling a marketing role for St George Bank and felt my experience was a good match. I couldn't believe it - the role offered the exact position, pay and industry I was looking for and is a great Australian brand whom I am proud to work for. I joined LinkMe a year ago because I felt 'stuck in a rut' in my old job and needed a change. I didn't have any expectations - I like to keep an open mind, but am not an optimist. I needed a change, however it had to be right for me. LinkMe renewed my confidence in that I am good at what I do. After recently being retrenched, I joined LinkMe in early September when a friend told me about the site and how it works. I found getting work at my age very difficult - recruiters often fobbed me off for younger people with less experience. I joined LinkMe around April/May of this year and like the way that employers and recruiters get to find out a little about your skills and experience before making a judgement on your age. A number of recruiters found me on LinkMe, but I got along with one in particular who placed me in a role 4-5 weeks after finding my resume on the database. I think LinkMe's a great site letting employees outline what they want to a future employer without the embarassment or awkwardness of doing so face to face. When I first became a Member of 'LinkMe' the intention was to establish a network of career/likeminded professionals with a glimmer of hope that a Recruiter would view my profile one day. I must say i hadn't heard of your website untill a friend of mine pointed me to it and to be honest i was a little sceptical on how it all worked and whether or not i was wasting my time putting up my resume on your site. But to my amazement exaclty 5 days after uploading my details i was called by recruitment agency and a few days later was sitting with him over a coffee discussing prospective jobs that were available. A few more days went past and i managed to secure a job interview with quite a well known IT company that went extremely well and sure and behold i was offered a position not long after! I now am looking forward to starting at my new job in the coming weeks!

Ever since I received that first phone call from Roger from Personnel Concepts back in August 2006, I knew I was in very good hands. I had been in a previous accounting/auditing role for nearly 10 yrs, but with the help of LinkMe, I was able to realise the true value of the skills and talent that I possessed and that which employers in the job market were looking for.
By putting my details online with LinkMe on one relaxing Sunday afternoon, I was absolutely in awe that the next day I was already being linked with prospective employers. It was within 3 days after the posting, that I had 5 interviews setup, and by the following Monday (which was just over a week), I already had a new job!
