World Cup Brings On Workmates

Footy fanaticism will bring together workmates durng the World Cup, particularly when Australia plays Brazil at 2am Monday morning.

According to Linkme.com.au, 57% of Australians say that they'll happily rely on no-doze or huge amounts of coffee in order to make it through the day.

The survey of 1300 people found that only 14.5% will take the day off, and 28% are certain that they'll be late to work without a worry because their bosses are understanding and fans themselves.

Betting isn't on the agenda for most of the surveyed population with over 90% of workers spending only a couple of dollars for the fun of it.

The World Cup will certainly create fun in most Aussie work environments, with 1 in 2 bosses agreeing to decorations in support of world cup teams.

Campbell Sallabank, CEO, Linkme.com.au said:

"Major sporting events can inject a real sense of team and camaraderie at work, because a diverse group can find a common ground to feel passionate about such as a national team.

"It's no surprise that 58% of people believe the world cup will dominate conversations at work and certainly discussions will be sparked up with people they may not have met before.

"This exciting time for the country will definitely be a time for bonding in the work place".
