WORKING 6 to 9 - One in five admits to getting frisky on the job!

Aussies like to keep their romantic options open whilst on the job with 20 percent of people saying they have not only been getting intimate at the office but also admit to doing ‘it’ during work hours, according to a recent survey conducted by leading career building and networking site Linkme.com.au.

This isn’t a case of ‘for a good time not a long time’ either with almost one in four Aussies having met their long term partner at work.

“There are a number of reasons why work place romances are becoming so common.

“People are spending more time in the office than ever before which is bound to create close friendships often leading to socialising outside of work. Furthermore colleagues who work in a similar field are likely to share interests and this is an element many people look for in a partner.

“With only 13 percent of Aussies seeing romantic relations in the office as unethical and a mere four percent of workers with a no fraternising clause in their contract, I think that we will see the percentages of couples meeting at work continue to rise.

“Sour grapes or relationships ending badly though could lead to a friction filled office, or worse still, time consuming and expensive harassment claims which are less than ideal for employers.”
