What’s on the outside does matter to the majority of workers, with 60% saying that not only is dress something they notice at work, they believe it says a lot about a person.
According to the survey of 475 people by linkme.com.au, Australia’s leading career building and networking site, 35% of people said how a colleague dresses at work does impact on how they treat them.
Whilst most people say their boss and colleagues dress well (70.5% and 65% respectively), 35% of workers feel that casual days have brought down the level of dress in the workforce overall.
That hasn’t stopped 1 in 4 of these fashion conscience Australians from going to work with no underware on, but not many have made it a habit. Only 17% do it on a regular basis.
