Desk rage drives colleagues up the wall
Office workers with a negative attitude drive their workers up the wall according to a survey by Linkme.com.au, Australia's leading career networking site, and fakers and manipulators come a close second and third.
Mr Campbell Sallabank CEO of Linkme.com.au says people spend more time with their colleagues than their do with their families in many instances and so it's really crucial to be able to get on with the people at work. But some personality traits just do not sit well in office environments giving rise to resentment, tension in the air and squabbling.
"Those employees who continually suck up to the boss are considered extremely annoying as are job hand-ballers who delight in doing as little as possible and delegating as much as possible.
"Clock watchers should watch out too as they are also named on the 'hate' list as are those who are pedantic, overly enthusiastic and a stickler for schedules.
"Over-achievers however seem to be tolerated as they are apparently doing something good for the company but working so hard. But it's the petty things that take the cake.
"Using the last of the tea/coffee/milk or sugar, not replacing the printing paper, leaving a mess in the kitchen and making stupid jokes at the expense of others really cause desk rage."
