Aussies Swap Cash For Security...Poll
Australian workers would swap cash for job security according to a poll by Australia's leading career building and networking site, Linkme.com.au.
Of the 520 respondents, 65% said they would forgo the extra money from the recent tax changes, in preference for the withdrawal of the new IR laws.
Campbell Sallabank, CEO, Linkme.com.au said:
"Of those that used the Linkme.com.au tax calculator, 70 percent found that they would be better off in the new financial year, which is in line with what 58% of people expected".
"From the feedback we garnered, workers are indifferent about the extra money, with many commenting that it will make little difference given the increasing cost of living.
"Job security is far more important for workers, and given the choice, they would opt for this over a small increase in their weekly wage any day".
